April fool's day
Besides pranking people on this day, i have to go down to ubi to have my e-trial test from 5 to 8. Its preparation for tomorrows basic theory test. So far, i've read up a little but my confidence is still there. Hopefully, tomorrow's BTT would be a breeze for me. :D And not forgetting, i will be getting MARMOT outershell today. The cheapest outershell i've came across and theres a hood. so call me Orange riding hood from today onwards. hahaaa

singaporean cum vietnamnese

Playing Chapteh at the airport

Im back finally. i miss the air , people and food especially in Singapore. In vietnam, motorcycles make up 90% of the vehicles on the road. Worst still, that contributes to air pollution. Next, communiation is a problem. So we have to resort to hand signs which was amusing. Food : springrolls and more springrolls. springrolls in vietnam is like bean sprouts in singapore. sick and tired of eating that. their soup was quite unique , SWEET SOUR BITTER. cool huh, they anyhow spam their ingredients la and it doesnt taste edible to us ( singaporeans ). Visited the zoo. guess how much is the entry fee. its frigging 8000 DONG. $0.80, cheappp! the elephants there were like on ecstasy, always swinging their trunks. Next up was interaction with the lambs, i mehhed all the way to converse with them. In vietnam, your bargaining skills must be damn good in order to get the lowest price. for an imitation OAKLEY shades, tt guy offered me 285 000 DONG. 28.50 Sing. i offered him 50 000 dong. 5 Sing, so he said nope. then i walked out on him until he called out to me and agreed. like wth man. in all, i got 8 shirts from the night market and quite a number of dragonflies from ben thahm market. Went to diamond plaza on the last day, price of products almost similar to takashimaya. Got chapteh at one of the attractions and u wouldnt believe this. we played chapteh at the Vietnam airport. haaaa. no one stopped us, maybe because this was their local sport. Rushed out my reflection onboard the plane and arrived at 5.45 pm. Family and friends awaiting my arrival. THANKS! bought hugo boss perfume and guiness stout at duty free. After i collected my luggage, jason asked me to report. NORMAL la. haha, thereafter i passed my luggage to my parents who fetched kelvin back home, in which i proceeded to have dinner with my peeps at xin wang. oh my, i missed PORK so much, cuz there isnt pork in vietnam.. i think i put on a few kilos during this trip, cuz every meal will at least have 4 dishes. AND most importantly, springrolls were included.

HCMC
Reporting from vietnam, Mervyn Chiang. Bustling city with lots of motorcycles. One thing life in here is different from Singapore. Its between the motorists and the pedestrians. When u cross the roads, the motorists will avoid you and slow down. For singapore, its on the contrary. i learnt this in vietnam. thank you ( gamen ), routop ( very good ). Will update more, when im back!

Going on an outershell hunt
Went back to school yet again to settle PRA stuffs before going to vietnam. to clar : Sorry i cannot help as i got to go vietnam to visit my relatives. all the best in the decoration of notice board. will help you once im back. hahahaaaaaaa. Was bored, played monopoly to kill time. It was fun after all. swindled jason of his money. this was how it goes : i mortgaged my house for 160. Bought it for 320. he bought frm me the property. had to unmortgaged it and paid me another 300. HAHAHA, he was cursing and swearing after that. Went queensway with matthew in search of fall factor. it was CLOSED! wasted, met ryuta at mac then linger around for awhile and off to TAKA cuz matt wanted to get a necklace. we combed the whole taka , cant find the shop. found a place to settle down for dinner!! :D had kfc ( the man's fav ). Next stop, velocity. ( outdoor life ) Saw several north face , pantagonia and vaude outershells. All 3 were attractive and appealing as they were REDDD. however, its beyond my budget. the 3 of us were discussing hw michelle and clar snatch the RED outershell from me if i got that. HAHA. Went to salomon ( matthew is so obsessed with this brand ) you can hear him mention it everytime we talked about adventure products. It was having a discount , so all eyes were on the outershell and since its below my budget. imma get it probably next week, together with ryuta( who wants to get his tshirts , pants, outershell and shoes there ) rich kid huh. While matt wanted to get a soft shell from X boundaries for a 100 after 30 percent discount. kinda late by then, home sweet home.

Time to lepak.
Hey, im back updating my blog. After 3 days of intense pioneering, my pioneering has indeed improved a lot. The showcase for the sportscamp is overr. Next will be the campfire which is later on. We did a total of 3 structures, one for the showcase and 2 other for the campfire. Did a bridge for showcase, a larger bridge and 6 gates for the campfire night. Day after the showcase, we downed the structure as we needed the platform as reinforcement for the larger bridge. Transported the ffing heavy platform from the volleyball court to admin field. We only got 6 people at that time. Me, ryuta, yi jie, clarissa, sidiq and the MAN. We stopped every 50m. Thr was an upslope and a downslope. on the upslope, the load were mainly on me and ryuta as we were at the back. It was like an elephant on your shoulders, super ache. after conquering the upslope, ryuta and me swooped positions with yi jie and clar and subsequently they swooped with the MAN and sidiq. While going downslope, because of height differences, yi jie and clar were unable to reach for the platform. HAHA, and worst still the MAN was screaming. it was freaking funny, should have videoed the whole process down. Cant take it any longer , placed the platform down and waiting for SOS. Yj thought of a plan to get jason to sit on the platform to act pitiful so as people will help us transport it to the admin field. before jason arrived, a lorry was on its way downhill. i dashed right into the lorrys path and asked for help. pheww, it was really a load off our shoulders when the lorry reached the admin field. Managed to complete the structure by 11.30pm. lepaking at clubhouse , doing the video then next, briefing for the vietnam trip. 9-5pm. WTHHHH, so longg. And once again we are visiting the BARRAGE which i've been there several times. Will upload the pictures of us pioneering later on. CIAO!

Satisfaction
Completed the structure for the showcase this morning around 6am. We went back to clubhouse and crashed immediately. We slept for approximately 5 hours only. Woke up later to find clarissa complaining that i kicked her while sleeping. HAHA, sorry laa. i thought u were a ball. After lunch, went for a fast dip in the pool and off the shower. Next, transported spars from store to admin field. Started on our structure fast as we all wanted to go home earlier and rest as tomorrow will be a long day. We knocked off at 630 and everyone dispersed to their respective bus stops. Will upload the pictures of us pioneering soon.

i m beginning to love pioneering.
Quite a fulfilling day today, managed to complete banner stock check within an hour and a half. That was pretty fast :) Next, proceeded to help out with the tying of structure. Currently slacking at clubhouse while waiting for other councils to be back then we could tie the structure. Overnight in school till tomorrow evening. Showcase on Wednesday , campfire on friday. Pioneering today , tomorrow and the following day. I guess my pioneering will improve greatly by then. woohoo. After this tiring week, i will be getting ready for Vietnam ( where i was born ). Hope my relatives there are doing fine, ahahhahaha.

forlorn
My spirits were low as man utd suffered a blow to their title hopes going 4-1 down to liverpool. Never mind about that, its just 3 points. Moreover, man utd have a game in hand. No worries, as they are still sitting happily at the top of the league table. I shall cast my forlornness aside. I did up a video for the sports camp showcase, compiling pictures of trips which took me 2 hours. Next, RA3 :D which i haven't been playing for quite some time as i was busy the past week settling stuffs. Defeating the brutal enemy made my day. :D Received an email from hashanah , was quite happy as PRA received compliments. We shall not let our advisor down! We will be staying over in school tomorrow to tie structures for the showcase.( most dreaded ) See ya.

soak up the sun
Hello once again. We ,34th council went to Sentosa together with Darren ; the organiser. We were supposed to meet 945am at Harbourfront control station. However, many were late and the 1 dollar policy was implemented by Yi Jie. Bruno owe a total of 180 dollars for being 3 hours late. The fun laugher and joy all started when we began imitating Darren's voice. It was damn funny , i swear. Head to siloso beach after the monorail ride. Lay down our groundsheets and mats. We covered our bags with a groundsheet and the funniest thing was, darren's bagpack was left lying under the scorching sun. hahahaaa, he came back with 2 frisbees and complaining. This was how bing hua imitated Darrens voice, it goes like this ,Matthew: Eh darren, can we borrow your frisbee? Bing Hua replied by imitating Darrens Voice: ahhh, yes ok. He was oblivious to it. After a dip in the water, out of boredom, darren buried ryuta's slippers. We were on a slipper hunt this time, no longer treasure hunt. We spent like an hour searching for it, until yijie came up with this move called sand angel. Workable idea, but not under the SUN. Still, we tried it out. Then came a loud shriek, yijie found ryuta's slippers. Woooo! finallyyyy, this so called 'training' claimed by darren, has ended. We dashed straight into the waters to cool ourselves down. Did a few backflips with the help of ryuta. Everyone was hungry so we washed up and off to carls jr. Aftermath of sentosa : sunburnt

Boredom pave way for this...

HEY PEEPS, i've finally created a blog, though it is very common these days. It was surprising though. Thanks to pika's brilliant idea, my blog is 'completed'. Its the 14th March 2009 and that marks the birth of my new blog. My tagboard is free for all , no spamming allowed. Before the birth of this new blog, i accompanied my parents to the IT show 09. It was frigging packed. Everyone was like bulldozing their way through till we entered the convention centre. I perceived that this year sales wasnt as good as last year after seeing many people empty handed leaving Suntec City . I managed to get a razer mouse which costs $59 inclusive of a razer mouse pad designed for speed.

Isnt It Cool ???
